In this lesson I have discussed overview of electrical machine, winding of electrical machine -there are two type of winding in electrical machine one is field winding and another is armature winding, field winding is used to create working class in DC machine and armature winding is used to carry high current and we use electrical machine for electromechanical energy conversion.

In this lesson I have discussed complete theory of commutation and also discuss how EMF is induced in the coil in DC machine and what is the nature of that induced EMF in the coil and also discussed what is the nature of induced EMF across the brushes so at brushes we get nature of induced EMF in DC so and in the coil we get the nature of induced EMF in AC so commutator work as a rectifier for a DC generator.

In this lesson I've discussed how commutator makes the armature MMF stationary.

In this lesson I have discussed the concept of GNA and MNA that means geometric neutral axis and magnetic neutral axis.

In this lesson I have discussed the complete commutation process in DC machine and we also see what is the meaning of commutation that means current reversal is called as commutation and time required to reverse the current is called commutation interval and also see two more terms one is under commutation and another is over commutation.
