Plants do have a functional Circulatory system within them that helps to regulate the flow of water, various nutrients and gases in plant body. There are broadly 2 types of transport seen in Plants - Long Route Transport and Short Route Transport. Long route transport is mainly carried out by conducting tissues such as Xylem and Phloem. Short route transport can be of various types- Diffusion, facilitated diffusion, active transport, osmosis etc. In this course we will learn about all these transport mechanism and understand how water potential is maintained within a plant body.
